Welcome to Balanced & Renewed You Wellness Coaching (BNRU), the culmination of my passion, education, and commitment to fostering wellness and resilience in individuals looking to transform their lives. I am Christina Corsetty, the heart and soul behind this initiative, dedicated to guiding you toward a life of balance, health, and renewal.

A Blend of Professional Expertise and Personal Passion

With a robust health and wellness coaching foundation, I hold a Master's Degree (MA) in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, MD. My journey in this field is further enriched by specialized Trauma and Resilience Certificates from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL, along with a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. My educational pursuits began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, setting the stage for a career dedicated to enhancing well-being.

I am honored to be a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), a testament to my expertise and dedication. My practice is built on professional knowledge and an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve their wellness goals.

As a lifelong Frederick, Maryland resident with over 45 years of cherished memories and experiences, I deeply connect to our community. My Frederick County Chamber of Commerce membership further strengthens this bond, reflecting my commitment to contributing to and flourishing within our local ecosystem.

My journey is also profoundly personal. Proud of my Seychellois heritage, I am a wife and a mother to three wonderful young adults. My wellness philosophy transcends professional boundaries and is deeply interwoven with my personal life. I avidly advocate a balanced lifestyle—enjoying weightlifting, meditating, yoga, running, biking, hiking, kayaking, and skiing. My commitment to volunteering and relentless quest for knowledge showcase my belief in the importance of personal growth and community service.

I created Balanced & Renewed You Wellness Coaching in January 2023 after years of contemplating how I could use my illnesses to inspire others. I hope to provide the type of support I wished I had when challenged with being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and celiac disease.

I decided it was time to take my health into my own hands; I was tired of being told by doctors the symptoms I was experiencing were from depression. I knew it was much more than that. I went from being a vibrant, healthy, and active mom of three children to not being able to get out of bed.

My symptoms consisted of hair loss, heart palpitations, chronic fatigue, body aches and pains, numbness in my upper extremities, panic attacks…the list goes on and on. I began to do my own research and learned how changing my diet and getting more exercise could help improve my condition’s symptoms.

After a year of being on a dairy-free, gluten-free, and anti-inflammatory diet and working out with a trainer three times a week, I began to get some energy back slowly. The symptoms I was experiencing slowly started to disappear.

In 2017, I started working with a Fitness and Nutrition coach and entered my first Women’s Physique Bodybuilding competition. I continued to compete, earning my Pro Card in 2021. Additionally, I participated in Ms. Health and Fitness in support of Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

Health and Wellness has become a vital part of my life. When I don’t feel like going to the gym, I am reminded of where I was, how far I have come, and how I NEVER want to feel that way again!
